The Danish Gambling Authority, Spillemyndigheden, has released its latest data on the performance of gambling operators for June, highlighting significant trends in gross gaming revenue (GGR) across various segments. In June 2025, the total GGR reported was DKK 585 million ($91 million), reflecting a 17% decrease compared to June 2024. This downturn was particularly pronounced in the betting vertical, which experienced a staggering 53.5% decline, with GGR falling to DKK 126 million ($19.6 million). The authority attributed this decline, in part, to the European Football Championship taking place in June 2024.

While other segments like gaming machines and land-based casinos also saw reductions in GGR—6.5% and 2.2% decreases, respectively—online casino revenue demonstrated resilience. Online operators reported GGR of DKK 333 million ($51.8 million), marking a 10% year-over-year increase and representing nearly half (49.92%) of the total GGR for the month.

In addition to revenue insights, the report indicated that the number of individuals registered in the national self-exclusion scheme, ROFUS, reached 62,400 as of June 2025. This reflects a steady increase over the past year, with the majority of registrations (78.38%) being male. The data underscores a growing awareness and utilization of self-exclusion measures among gamblers in Denmark.
